The amount you can expect Apple or Google to take from each IAP is getting and more complicated. So we made a commission calculator with Claude that’s designed to make it a bit clearer for you.

It draws from both tech giants’ official documentation to give you an estimate of what you can expect Apple and Google to take, based on which app store you’re using, where you are in the world, how you handle payments on or off-store and if you’re in one of the many different developer programs you can join. We also factor in the cut webshop and payment providers take along the way.

The results should only be taken as a guide, of course, and bear in mind that working with webshop and alternative payment providers and alternative app stores plus joining Apple and Google’s various developer programs come with their own workloads (and fees, in some cases).
