Scopely passes $10bn in lifetime revenue

Savvy Games Group released a new batch of stats within its 2024 annual report yesterday, claiming that its portfolio company Scopely has now passed $10bn in lifetime revenue – and given that we’re over halfway through 2025, it’s way over that $10bn mark now.
The report also confirms that Monopoly Go is the fastest mobile game in history to reach $3bn in revenue, and the company as a whole has racked up over 1bn downloads to date. It adds that Scopely had over 2,400 staff across the world when the report was published. (That number is now over 3,000 after the Niantic deal, we’re told.)
IAP revenue from top hybridcasual games up 100% in Q2

IAP revenue from the top-grossing hybridcasual titles in Q2 2025 doubled YoY, Appmagic reports.
According to its data, IAP revenue from the 10 market leading hybridcasual titles was up 100% YoY, from $63m to $126m.

Puzzle games accounted for over half of all hybridcasual revenue in Q2, which was up from 48% in Q1 2025.
Arcade titles generated 35% of hybridcasual revenue during the quarter. And action was the third-largest subgenre, although it was way behind with just 2% of overall revenue.

Q1’s highest-grossing game retained the top spot in Q2, with Rollic’s Color Block Jam bringing in $42.4m (+66% QoQ).
It was followed by iKame Games’ Screwdom with $27.4m (+705% QoQ) and Homa’s All in Hole with $22.3m (+24% QoQ)

Appmagic says it tracked 215 new games released in the first seven months of 2025 that used the keyword “hole” (up from 15 in the same timeframe in 2024), including 55 in July alone.
The number of “wool”, “thread” and “knit” games is also on the rise. Appmagic tracked 282 new releases in the first seven months of the year, with over half of them coming in June (68) and July (78).
Destiny Rising hits 10m pre-registrations

Ahead of its global release on August 28, the first mobile entry in the Destiny series has cleared 10m pre-registrations across iOS and Android – up from 5m reported by NetEase in early July.
Cooking Diary has topped 61m downloads in 7 years

Mytona has released several stats to coincide with the 7th anniversary of its time-management culinary simulation game Cooking Diary.
Since launching on August 6, 2018, the title has been downloaded over 61m times, with users racking up 104K years of playtime and serving up 500bn dishes.
Players have also created over 950K guilds, with 1.78m messages exchanged daily.
Ten Square sales and profit declined in Q2

Fishing Clash maker Ten Square Games saw Q2 revenue fall 13.9% YoY to PLN 84.4m ($23.1m), while bookings dropped by 15.4% to PLN 81.4m ($22.2m). Adjusted EBITDA was down by 1.1% to PLN 27m ($7.4m) and net profit dropped by 9% to PLN 20m ($5.5m).
For H1 2025, revenue fell 8.6% YoY to PLN 181.1m ($49.5m) and bookings declined 12% to PLN 171.9m ($47m). However, EBITDA rose 5% YoY to PLN 57.6m ($15.7m) and net profit increased 18.5% to PLN 47.4m ($12.9m).
Ten Square Games also said it’s closing in on its target of generating 25% of its bookings through its D2C store. In June, the store accounted for 23.4% of bookings across its portfolio.
In July, the company launched Trophy Hunter globally, marking its first new release since October 2022. Ten Square said early retention and monetisation metrics for the game were outperforming its previous titles.
Burny Games titles hit 53m downloads in Q2

Colorwood and Playdoku maker Burny Games says its portfolio of titles was downloaded 53m times in Q2 2025.
The Ukrainian studio, which was founded in 2022, also added 10 new team members during the quarter, taking its headcount to 130 employees.
