Squad Busters earns $70m in year one

The latest releases from Supercell have fallen short of the earnings bars set by its top performing titles like Clash of Clans, Clash Royale and Brawl Stars, Appmagic reports.
One year on from its release, Squad Busters has generated around $70m in revenue, compared to the $340m Brawl Stars earned during its first 12 months. The game, which Supercell has acknowledged may have benefitted from a longer soft launch, also generated a monthly low of $1.2m in May 2025.

Monster hunting game Mo Co, which surprise-launched on iOS and Android worldwide in March, has also earned a relatively low $2.5m in three months. However, its launch performance is tougher to compare with previous games seeing as it remains an invite-only experience for the time being.
The earnings figures come from an in-depth analysis of Supercell’s experimental launch strategies for the two titles, as well as its approaches to gameplay and progression, monetisation, and live ops.
