December’s top grossing mobile games

Here are last month’s top grossing mobile games based on in-app purchase earnings, according to Appmagic data.

These IAP estimates do not include ad revenue, web shop spend, Apple and Google’s 30% cut or revenue from China’s Android ecosystem.

There’s commentary on which way the biggest earners are trending, and other interesting tidbits from the top 20 and beyond below.

In between these monthly updates, you can keep tabs on Appmagic’s top grossing and top downloads charts anytime here.

Last War ended 2025 way ahead of its nearest contender Roblox in the top grossing chart, passing $140m earned in one month for the fifth time. The biggest spending players in December 2025 were in the US (~$62m) and Japan (~$30m), with South Korea third on ~$9m.

December’s a good month for Funfly’s hit 4x strategy game – it posted its all-time best monthly earnings total, an incredible $152m, in December 2024.

Just like in December’s downloads chart, Roblox had a good month, but could not quite replicate this summer’s fever around Steal A Brainrot and Grow A Garden. The big spikes that usually occur in the school holidays didn’t quite happen, as revenue was up modestly both on November, and year-on-year – December 2025’s total of ~$118.5m is a rise of about $8m in monthly earnings compared to the 2024 total.

Scopely’s Monopoly Go saw a noticeable drop in app store revenue for both November and December, down from its usual $120m-ish monthly total. December 2025’s $108m earned is practically the same as the 2024 estimate, though as ever the great unknown with this one is all that webshop revenue from the very top spenders.

December saw Whiteout Survival and Royal Match both posting practically the same monthly totals as they did in November, with $106m and $100m earned respectively. Both are down year-on-year, too – Whiteout Survival raked in over $118m in December 2024, while Dream Games’ puzzler generated over $125m the prior year.

Candy Crush Saga was also steady month-on-month, and indeed year-on-year. December 2025’s IAP earnings of just under $83m are about the same as November’s total, but down a little bit on December 2024’s estimated $87m.

Honor of Kings’ revenue profile seems to be increasingly dramatic, and it was down month-on-month in December to just under $79m. But a big dip in December for Tencent’s monster MOBA is nothing new; the same thing has happened to varying degrees pretty much every year since the game launched, so it’s currently some way off its peak monthly earnings of around $170m.

Gossip Harbor is pretty much the opposite. Microfun’s puzzler continues to grow its monthly earnings very steadily and consistently, posting another record haul in December 2025 with over $72m.

It’s the same story for that other relatively recent top grossing game, Kingshot. Century Games’ other hit title has seen revenue rises every month since February 2025, and reached another peak last month with over $70m.

December was another poor month for PUBG Mobile – having passed $130m in August, Tencent’s battle royale has cratered, posting its third consecutive month way below its typical range. December 2025’s total of ~$53m repeats a similar plunge in December 2024 – we assume that, as with Honor of Kings, this is due to an easing off of monetisation ahead of a blitz around Chinese new year.

December’s top grossing mobile games: 11-20

11. Clash Royale (Supercell): $51.2m
12. Coin Master (Moon Active): $48.6m
13. Last Z: Survival Shooter (Florere Game): $46.6m
14. TfT Golden Spatula (Tencent): $40.5m
15. Love and Deepspace (Paper Games): $37.4m
16. Pokémon TCG Pocket (The Pokémon Company): $36.4m
17. Delta Force (Tencent): $34m
18. Township (Playrix): $33.9m
19. MapleStory: Idle RPG (Nexon): $33.5m
20. Gardenscapes (Playrix): $31.8m

Last Z is gathering pace and is up three spots month-on-month, but three games saw bigger jumps up the rankings compared to November: TfT: Golden Spatula (up eight places), Love and Deepspace (up a whopping 21) and MapleStory: Idle RPG (up 12).

Pokémon TCG Pocket is still lucrative, but clearly in decline. Last month’s IAP earnings of $36m are nowhere near where it was in December 2024, when it was newly-launched and pulling in over $117m monthly.

Outside the top 20, there were month-on-month gains for Genshin Impact (~$26m earned in December), COD: Mobile (~$23m) and top grossing chart veteran Puzzle & Dragons (~$21m).

Another chart stalwart, Clash of Clans, dropped 15 places month-on-month, though, posting about $18.5m in IAP earnings – its third lowest total ever.
