December’s top mobile game downloads

Here are the top mobile game downloads from last month, according to Appmagic data.

Appmagic’s estimates do not include numbers from China’s fractured Android market. There’s also commentary on December’s most notable trends from the top 20 and beyond below.

In between these monthly updates, you can also keep tabs on Appmagic’s top grossing and top downloads charts here.

Block Blast saw one of its best-ever months in December 2025, hitting over 38m installs – not far below the record 42.5m it posted in April 2025. It also broke 40m+ in March, and after a relative slump over the summer, is now a commanding, consistent presence at the top of these lists.

There’s usually a big install boost for Roblox every time there’s a school holiday, but its expected seasonal spike didn’t hit as hard as we expected in December. Last month’s numbers are only up a little on November’s total with 24m+ downloads – that’s still above December 2024’s total of 21.7m, though.

Like Block Blast and Roblox, Free Fire has been in the top three for most of 2025, though it is down a little year-on-year. December’s ~22m installs is pretty much the level it’s been at for most of 2025, though it had a particularly fruitful summer, peaking in July with 27m monthly downloads.

Pizza Ready and Subway Surfers are both very consistently pulling in downloads in the 13-17m range. But while Supercent’s idle management game continues to gently tick upwards, Sybo’s runner has slowed down, posting around 13m installs for the last couple of months (it usually pulls in about 17m monthly downloads).

Solitaire Associations Journey’s ascent has been quick – this is its second month in the top ten, having only launched in September. Its US developer Hitapps passed the 13m mark with its new flagship last month, and seems to specialise in simple puzzlers. Previous hits include Figgerits, Cross Logic Puzzle Game and the very ‘NYT Connections’-inspired duo Associations Word Connections and Connect Word Association Game.

With another 12m installs racked up last month, Vita Mahjong has become another steady top ten performer. Voodoo appears to be scaling Paper.io 2 aggressively with its third straight month of downloads growth; December’s ~12m installs means it is the game’s highest monthly total since the hypercasual glory days of 2019.

This month’s surprise hits are School Party Craft and Block Crazy Robo World Craft – both mostly driven by Android installs in Indonesia, India and Brazil. School Party Craft has actually been around for years, first peaking in September 2022, but Block Crazy Robo World Craft is a relatively new one, having launched in March 2025. Both are community-driven, Roblox/Minecraft-alikes that may well end up disappearing again pretty quickly, but we’ll see…

Rising up the rankings in December were Miniclip’s Arrows, up 88 places month-on-month, Last War (up 13 spots), Snake Clash (up 8) and Imposter Up (also up 8 places).

Nebula Studio’s Vita Mahjong-alike Mahjong Wonders rose up 348 places to break into the top 20, but Clash Royale saw a sudden drop – it fell 15 spots down to 25th place in December.
