Destiny: Rising is now open for pre-order through the App Store

Destiny: Rising is now open for pre-reg worldwide through the App Store.

A closed beta test is coming for Android players in North America starting on May 29, with pre-reg details to come for Google Play Store players, too. Android owners can continue to pre-register through the game’s website.

Players who pre-register through Apple’s App Store will receive in-game launch rewards based on the number of sign-ups, scaling from 500k for some in-game currency to 10m for exotic ornamental gun.

The game’s App Store listing says it is expected on August 31, but this is likely a placeholder.

The closed beta, which begins on May 29 for Android players in the US and Canada, will showcase an expanded storyline that sees players enter the Red Sea Rift and encounter Veridia and the Cabal.

New characters Xuan Wei and Umeko also join the player roster, who come with Arc and Void powers, respectively.

Alongside the Red Sea Rift campaign missions, beta test players will also take on new Strike maps and a new Master difficulty level. In the hubworld, Haven, NetEase and Bungie have added a new fishing activity and more “secrets and environmental puzzles”.

Destiny: Rising was revealed back in October 2024, billed as a mobile edition of the big-name shared-world shooter set in an alternative Destiny timeline. We later took a quick look at whether it’ll hit big like COD Mobile or flop like Apex Legends Mobile.
