In under two years, Royal Match has passed $600m in lifetime revenue and 70m all-time downloads, according to Appmagic data.
Dream Games’ match-3 puzzler is now regularly breaking $40m in monthly earnings, having done so consecutively in October, November and December last year. December 2022 was also a record month for downloads with 5.7m installs.
Royal Match raced out of the blocks at launch in February 2021. It had passed $10m in monthly revenue by May, and broke $20m in monthly earnings by August of the same year.
Monthly revenue passed $30m for the first time in April 2022, and it has cleared $40m for the last three months, peaking in December with $46m revenue.
Based on the last 30 days of data, Royal Match is now averaging $1.49m in revenue per day, and just over 200k daily downloads. Royal Match’s daily revenue record is $1.77m, reached on October 29 2022. It also set a new daily download record on January 1 2023 with 292k installs.
Dream Games was founded Peak alumni Soner Aydemir, Hakan Sağlam, Eren Şengül, İkbal Namlı and Serdar Yılmaz. Since forming in 2019, the Turkish studio has raised a ton of funding very quickly: $7.5m in November 2019, $50m in March 2021, another $155m in June 2021 and $255m in January 2022. That most recent Series C investment valued the company at $2.75bn.
Royal Match was the 21st top grossing mobile game of 2022, according to Appmagic data. It earned just under $428m last calendar year, which ranked it just below State of Survival and Gardenscapes, and ahead of Puzzle & Dragons, Lineage M and Evony: The King’s Return.
