Sensor Tower has kindly agreed to send us exclusive weekly download and revenue charts for the US, China, Japan and the UK. Here’s the data for the week of July 25-31.
Let’s start with US downloads.
Stumble Guys stays at the top this week with two new entries in the combined App Store and Google Play chart: Crazylabs’ Makeup Kit and Zplay’s Junkyard Keeper.
Looks like the US revenue charts are taking it easy over the summer, with a completely static top four. Kudos to Scientific Games’ Jackpot Party, though, for staying in the top ten for a couple a weeks running – a very under-the-radar top earner.
In China, it’s all about Diablo Immortal, which enters at three in the revenue chart and at one in downloads. There’s also a new entry in second in the downloads rankings: Shouyou.com’s Sea of Dawn, a pirate-themed adventure.
Japan’s download chart brings us an entirely new top three – Touhou Arcadia Record from Oasis Games, a side-scrolling shooter-RPG; Wonderplanet’s Alice Fiction, an over-the-top battler-RPG; and Zloong’s Noah’s Heart, an epic adventure game.
No brand new entries in Japan’s revenue charts, but it’s interesting to see Dragon Quest Walk consistently in the top earners – one of very few Pokémon Go-like games to actually succeed (and indeed outrank Niantic’s game most weeks.)
The UK download charts bring us three new entries in the combined chart: Everskies from Pocketzworld, Zplay’s Junkyard Keeper and Hitapps’ Figgerits. And Stumble Guys is still on top, of course.
The UK revenue charts see the usual suspects re-arrange themselves, though Roblox has taken the top spot from Coin Master, very possibly as this is the first week of the summer holidays. Pokémon Go also rises, possibly due to that summer break effect.
