Sensor Tower has kindly agreed to send us exclusive weekly download and revenue charts for the US, China, Japan and the UK. Here’s the data for the week of August 15-21.
Let’s start with US downloads.
Habby’s Survivor.io rises to the top of the combined download chart in its second week of release with the addition of the Google Play version, having placed in fourth last week on the strength of iOS alone. Say Games’ My Perfect Hotel is new in ninth, and Zero Global’s Car Stunts Master is in at ten.
The combined US revenue chart is pretty uneventful this week, with a completely unchanged top five of Candy Crush, Roblox, Coin Master, Evony and Royal Match.
In China, the revenue charts are pretty static but the download listings show Subway Surfers on top again, Shell Commando / Survivor.io up to third and new entry The Degenerate 3, a martial arts game, in at four.
Japan’s overall download chart shows Tencent’s Tower of Fantasy holding firm at number one, while the release of Survivor.io on Google Play pushes Habby’s hit game up to third. And clearly Bandai Namco is doing well out of its One Piece games – Bounty Rush is in second and Treasure Cruise is fourth. Both are team-based battlers.
Fate/Grand Order is top grosser in Japan once more, though the revenue charts get a welcome refresh with the entry of Tower of Fantasy at four and One Piece Bounty Rush at six.
Here in the UK, bravo to Say Games for topping the combined download chart with new sim game My Perfect Hotel. Hypercasual hit Stick Hero is also new in fourth, and Survivor.io just about makes the overall top ten, but is not resonating as much here.
And finally UK revenue charts show the top three unchanged, with FunPlus’ State of Survival rising up from seventh to fourth this week and Clash of Clans dropping out of the overall top ten, after placing fifth last week.
