Apple: The tech giant has welcomed Greg Essig back to the fold. Essig will be working in a games-focused role within Apple’s worldwide developer relations team.

He had previously worked on the App Store business team in 2011-2014, before leaving to take on various bizdev and partnership roles at Funplus, Mobcrush, N3twork, Bunch and more, as well as acting as an investor and advisor.

Homa: The French firm has hired Robert Whitehead as its new director of product strategy. Whitehead worked for many years at Scopely before moving over to Carry1st as head of content strategy.

Huuuge Games: The social casino game-maker has hired Naz Colakoglu as its new VP of bizdev and partnerships. She joins from Tilting Point, where she held several business development roles, and has previously also worked at MobileAction.

AppLovin: The marketing giant has welcomed Barbara Messing, former chief marketing and communications officer at Roblox, to its board of directors. Messing has previously served as SVP of Walmart and VP and CMO at TripAdvisor, and will now be “an advisor and prominent addition to the AppLovin board,” says AppLovin cofounder and CEO Adam Foroughi.

FunPlus: The State of Survival maker has a new creative director, Mustapha Mahrach. He joins from Timi Montreal, where he was world and quests design director. Mahrach has also worked at Google as level design director and spent nearly 15 years at Ubisoft Montreal working on various Assassin’s Creed games.

Supercell: The Finnish firm has hired Maria Maunula as producer. She joins from Rovio, where she was lead senior producer. Maunula has also worked in similar roles at Dodreams, Seriously and Nitro Games.

Scopely: The Monopoly Go maker has hired Tomas Walter as a producer on Stumble Guys. Walter is based in Barcelona and previously worked as a game producer for Magic Media.

SciPlay: Wildlife Studios and Playtika veteran Dotan Arad has joined SciPlay as general manager.

SuperScale: The game optimisation specialist has hired Nikola Mitic as its new COO. He joins from Playstudios Europe, where he was general manager. Mitic also co-founded the Serbian Games Association and spent nearly 20 years as co-owner and CEO at Cofa Media and COFA Games.

Hipster Whale: The Crossy Road maker has hired Ella Macintyre as chief business development officer. Macintyre moves over from a role at fellow Aussie games firm Mighty Kingdom as chief product officer.

Hutch: The car culture studio has three new starters. Muhammad Adli Shamsul Bahari is now junior performance marketing manager at its Dundee office, while Criterion, Climax and Black Rock veteran Ross Mansfield and ex-TT Games, Sumo and Mediatonic staffer Toby Jennings have joined Hutch’s London studio as senior 3D artist and producer, respectively.

Xsolla: The payments and web shop firm has appointed Manny Hachey as accelerator program manager. Hachey joins Xsolla having most recently worked at Threaks as senior project manager, and is also a business mentor for Code Coven.

East Side Games: The idle game specialist has hired William White as its new performance marketing manager. He joins from Kongregate, where he was UA manager, and has previously served as growth analyst at AppLovin.

Voodoo: The hybridcasual publisher and developer has appointed Benjamin Whitelegge as talent acquisition associate. He has previously worked in recruitment at Popcore and Sunday.

Sandsoft: The publisher and developer’s Barcelona office has two new additions. Pol Monforte joins from WarDucks as a senior game developer, and Elena Garcia Molina joins from Popcore as people partner.

AdInMo: The adtech firm has hired Richard Brindley as chief product and technology officer. He moves over from a role as chief information officer at Vibrant Media.
