LEGO Group: Supercell CEO and cofounder Ilkka Paananen has been added to the toy brand’s board of directors. LEGO also added former YouTube, Netflix and Uber exec Ebi Atawodi to its board, which now consists of eight members, including five independent non-executive directors.

Trailmix: The Supercell-owned developer has announced another wave of hires. First up is Matt Hood, who is joining as product director having previously worked at Carry1st and Ten Square Games. The firm has also hired Nathalie Wood as a senior marketing manager. She joins from Switchcraft maker Wooga and before that was head of marketing for Fusebox Games.

Meanwhile, Sergio De Vita has come on board as senior engineer manager after over five years at Gram Games. Senior product analyst Ankit Narang has also joined from Bumble, and Attensi and Cubelogix veteran Thomas Astor-Wood has been appointed content designer.

Fortis: The developer and publisher has bolstered its executive team with a number of experienced industry additions. Kimberley Corbett comes on board as a chief publishing officer, having previously worked at Warner Bros, Zynga and Kabam. She will be heading up work on the likes of user acquisition, lifeycle and market intelligence.

King, EA and Microsoft vet Michael Christian is joining as VP of art. He arrives with over 25 years of experience in games and entertainment, having most previously worked at Brazil’s Wildlife Studios.

Finally, Carol Liaw has been promoted to SVP of game development after two-and-a-half years at Fortis. She was previously VP of central services having joined the company as VP of strategic programs. Before joining Fortis, she worked as Warner Bros Games.

Voodoo’s Revach, TreesPlease’s Davis, Sandsoft’s Rodriguez and Mason and Dylan Cheung, Odeeo’s Cowan.

Voodoo: The hypercasual specialist has hired Ira Revach to build a new studio. She will be the director of this new venture, which will be focused on making casual and midcore games. Revach joins from Bring It On, where she was heading up product and game design. Prior to that, she spent almost two years at Jelly Button, following an eight-year stint at Plarium.

TreesPlease Games: Developer veteran Rob Davis has joined the environmentally-minded studio. He has been hired as studio design director after a three-year stint at NaturalMotion working on Star Wars: Hunters. Prior to that, he worked at his own studio, Playniac, for 11 years and spent over a year at Sumo Digital.

Sandsoft: The Saudi Arabian publisher has hired Renny Rodriguez as a new analytics engineer for its Barcelona branch. He joins with experience from Aitana Consulting, SDG Consulting, and Scopely. 

Meanwhile, brothers Mason and Dylan Cheung have joined Sandsoft Riyadh as senior concept artists. They previously worked together at Digit Game Studios for five years before a three-and-a-half year stint at Vela Games.

Odeeo: Seven year Spotify veteran James Cowan has joined the in-game audio ad firm as its new US commercial lead. He previously headed up programmatic sales at the music streaming giant. Odeeo has also promoted Teresa Elliott to its advisory board to help its expansion into the US. She is currently chief revenue officer at Ad Results Media and has also previously worked at Spotify.

FunPlus: The Swiss-based developer and publisher has appointed Yevhen Tarasenko as its new app store optimisation lead for its Barcelona arm. He has worked in similar roles across a variety of companies such as G5 Games and Tilting Point.

Hutch: Scarlet Fairweather has joined the London studio’s F1 Clash team. She has come on board as a technical artist having previously spent over three-and-a-half years working at Tripledot.

Rzain: Industry veteran Claire Rozain has founded her very own consulting company, Rzain, following stints at Carry1st, Rovio and Gameloft.

YouthWave Games: As if that wasn’t enough, Claire Rozain has also set up a brand new studio. YouthWave is currently working on Afroracers, a game that aims to bring awareness to the global climate change-driven humanitarian issues impacting African populations. 

Raptor PR: The B2B-focused agency has hired James Law to head up a brand new B2C division. He previously spent a year working as a public relations manager for Heaven, after two years at esports firm Gfinity as its managing editor. 

Ustwo: The Monument Valley maker has promoted Viji Rajaratnam to senior QA analyst. She joined the developer back in August 2022 as a quality assurance analyst and has worked on Desta: The Memories Between and Assemble With Care.
