Jobs weekly: moves at Netflix, King and Mattel plus more new roles for ex-Seriously staff

 

Every week, mobilegamer.biz brings you the latest on who’s moving where. So let’s get into it:

Chinmay Banker has moved to Netflix games’ ops team as its new release manager. Banker makes the switch from his role as Rogue Games’ VP of tech, and has also previously served as project manager at Kabam and Glu Mobile.

This week’s moves at King include: Sofia Bergqvist, who is now the new vice president of people on the Candy Crush franchise, stepping up from her role as senior people director. Ligia Muraro has moved from her role at UI/UX designer at Socialpoint to become lead UI/UX designer at King, also working on Candy Crush. Gabriela Zarzar Gandler is now senior ML data scientist, moving over as part of the Peltarion acquisition. Moving the other way is former King associate art director Nana Li, who joins several other ex-King folks at Stockholm start-up 8-Bit Bandits.

Erika Winterholler has joined Mike DeLaet over at Mattel, which is growing its games team. Winterholler is now head of business development there, moving from Paramount where she was VP of games and emerging media.

Felipe Mata has stepped up a notch at FunPlus. He’s the new VP of product, and moves up from his role as director of central product management.

And so to this week’s ex-Seriously folks. Small Giant Games’ new creative producer is Tuomo Kälviäinen, who moves to the Empires & Puzzles maker from his role as video and design lead at Seriously. The Best Fiends maker’s former head of design and marketing Kati Nohynek is now Metacore Games’ new brand designer.

Francisco Viloria is Bandai Namco Mobile’s new 3D game artist. Viloria has previously worked at Tripledot, Ready Player Me and Outfit7.

Savvy Games Studios has hired senior producer Dmitry Fedoruk to lead several projects at its studio in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. He joins from Wargaming, where he was head of publishing product management.

Ex-TikTok project and account manager Hen Noiberger is Moon Active’s new product monetisation manager, and new engineer Caio Rodrigues has taken up a new role at Hutch after working at Wildlife Studios as backend engineer.

Small Giant Games’ Tuomo Kälviäinen, Metacore’s Kati Nohynek, Bandai Namco Mobile’s Francisco Viloria, Savvy’s Dmitry Fedoruk, Moon Active’s Hen Noiberger.

Former King game and level designer Alex Bräysy is now senior game designer at Nørdlight Games, joining from indie studio Gro Play.

Scopely has hired Playtika’s director of analytics and game economy Roee Yaron as the new senior director of product performance on Yahtzee, and at Ludia, Jean-Sébastien Leduc has stepped up to senior studio programming director and Brunella Russo is the new director of core tech development.
