Destiny: Rising (NetEase)
This sci-fi RPG shooter is being developed and published by NetEase, and officially licensed by Bungie, for iOS and Android. While it’s described as being “quite early” into development, pre-registration is now open for its first closed alpha test, which will be held in the US and Canada starting on November 1.
Following Destiny Rising’s reveal this week, we took a look at how other big-brand shooters like Call of Duty and Battlefield have performed after making the jump to mobile.
Marvel Mystic Mayhem (NetEase)
This is a team-based tactical RPG, which sees players battling Nightmare as he invades the minds of famous heroes and villains and transforms their dreams into dangerous dungeons. There’s no word yet on a release date yet, but players can pre-register now on iOS and Android.
Age of Empires Mobile (Level Infinite)
Co-developed by Tencent’s Timi and Xbox studio World’s Edge, this medieval war real-time strategy game has launched globally for iOS and Android.
Indus Battle Royale (SuperGaming)
This “Indo-futuristic” battle royale game from the studio behind MaskGun and Battle Stars is out now for iOS and Android.
Plants Vs Zombies 3 (EA)
The latest entry in PopCap’s tower defence series is being taken offline for retooling based on feedback accumulated from nine months in soft launch. It’s unclear if the game is still on track to release in 2024, but EA said an improved version will be available “soon”.
Cats or Dogs? (Jam City)

This match 3 puzzler from the Cookie Jam maker has soft launched in Spain and the Philippines for iOS and Android. It’s also available in Canada via Google Play, according to Appmagic.
Bionics (Voodoo)
This game see players wielding a bionic arsenal against hordes of the undead in the zombie apocalypse. It appears to have launched worldwide on iOS and Android.
Pocket Necromancer (Sandsoft)
This fantasy RPG is now available on the App Store and Google Play worldwide.
Political Party Frenzy (Freemode)
This political puzzler challenges players to step into the role of a social media influencer and help lead their party to victory. It’s available now on Android and iOS, with a Steam release coming soon.
Climb Knight (AppSir Games)
This retro arcade adventure, which features LCD-style graphics and one-button controls, is out now on iOS and Android, PocketGamer reports.
Emberstoria (Square Enix)
This strategy RPG is coming to iOS, Android, and PC via DMM Games Player in Japan, Gematsu reports. While Square hasn’t announced a release date, the Japanese App Store lists it as November 29 2024.
