Here are the top mobile game downloads from last month, according to Appmagic data.
Appmagic’s estimates do not include numbers from China’s fractured Android market. There’s commentary on October’s most notable trends from the top 20 and beyond below.
In between these monthly updates, you can also keep tabs on Appmagic’s top grossing and top downloads charts here.

TikTok’s influence on the mobile game charts keeps growing, with both new entries in the monthly download chart emerging because of that ‘chicken game’ trend.
Mini Games: Calm & Relax has the kind of blunt, clunky title you’d expect from a hypercasual title, but it’s actually a collection of games, much like the summer’s big hit, Offline Games. And Vietnamese studio Rocket Succeed Together – maker of Stick Hero and Toilet Rush Race – was particularly helped by that TikTok chicken game filter, it seems.
You may have seen the videos already, but if you haven’t – there’s a platform game on TikTok where you cluck to make the chicken jump. With its icon and – presumably – some smart ASO, it seems Mini Games: Calm & Relax has managed to sweep up all of the traffic that came with the trend, to the tune of over 36m downloads. It’s also Android-only, which is a feat in itself.

Tik Tap Challenge, new at number six, has also benefitted from the trend. Judging by its app store promo video, it is actively pitching itself as the home of all those ‘TikTok trend’ games. This too is an Android-only game, and was only released on October 22 – so it is on track for a huge November if it keeps up its current pace.
Elsewhere in the October charts, Block Blast suddenly jumped up from the ~15m downloads it generated in September to a best-ever 24.8m last month. My Supermarket Simulator 3D also continues to grow, albeit less dramatically, racking 3m more installs than in September.

Roblox and Ludo King dropped off a little in October, while Subway Surfers and Pizza Ready were broadly flat month-on-month.
In ninth spot, Voodoo’s Hole.io is on the comeback trail, posting its fourth consecutive rise in monthly downloads. October’s 11.6m installs is its best since way back in September 2018, but some way off its all-time peak of 24.8m monthly downloads, posted in July 2018.
Free Fire Max in tenth is up very slightly month-on-month, while sister title Free Fire is down, dropping out the top ten into 13th.
October’s top mobile game downloads: 11-20
11. Offline Games (JindoBlu): 11.1m
12. Perfect Tidy (ABI Game Studio): 11.1m
13. Free Fire (Garena): 9.7m
14. My Talking Tom 2 (Outfit7): 9.2m
15. Candy Crush Saga (King): 8.9m
16. Bus Out (Zego Global): 8.6m
17. Spider Fighter 3 (Starplay): 8.6m
18. EA Sports FC Mobile (EA): 8.4m
19. Paper.io 2 (Voodoo): 7.9m
20. 8 Ball Pool (Miniclip): 7.5m
After a remarkable summer, JindoBlu’s Offline Games seems to be in decline, with a third consecutive drop in monthly downloads.
Perfect Tidy in 12th is interesting – like Satisroom (in 22nd spot), these are the game equivalent of ‘satisfying’ videos you get on social media, or perhaps the casual cousins of something like A Little to the Left. Similarly, Zego Global, maker of casual hits Car Race, Moto Rider and Wood Screw Puzzle, have another hit: Bus Out. That game is also based on satisfying puzzles and patterns.

There’s also a hilariously brazen Spider-Man game, Spider Fighter 3, in 17th, and like Hole.io, Voodoo’s Paper.io 2 is making a comeback after hitting it big all the way back in 2018. It’s up 18 places this month to 19th spot.
Outside the top 20, there was a sudden boost for Plants Vs Zombies following the removal of PvZ 3 from soft launch recently – it’s up 49 places month-on-month into 25th spot.
Kwalee has made a return to the top charts with Teacher Simulator: School Days, new at 26, and Supergaming’s ambitious Indus Battle Royale Mobile debuts at 30.
