Tilting Point has announced a new $150m UA fund, promising potential partners that it won’t serve as publisher, but will offer non-dilutive cashflow plus marketing support.
The company said it has successfully scaled over 200 games across genres and platforms following previous UA funding initiatives in 2016 and 2018.
Some of the first developers to access the new fund include game technology company Mythical Games, early learning company Begin, and a yet-to-be-announced web-based gaming hub.
Tilting Point also also cited several previous partnerships it said had resulted in notable revenue rises. It claims that Loop Games’ Match 3D saw a 30x revenue surge with monthly spending rising from $500k to $11m, while Joycity’s Gunship Battle saw its revenue double, with annual player spend hitting $40m. Haiku Games’ Adventure Escape Mysteries also saw a sixfold increase in revenue after working with Tilting Point, says the publisher, and Haiku also signed a deal to use Hasbro’s Clue IP through the partnership.
“We were the first ever to build a UA fund like this, and its success then and now hinges on what we know is the secret sauce: truly unlimited and flexible spending, combined with the full control developers have over how much involvement they want from Tilting Point,” said Tilting Point chief business officer Asi Burak.
“Investing in promising games has always been a key driver of our growth, and it’s how we’ve built some of our strongest partnerships.”
