AWS outage disrupts Supercell games, Pokémon Go, Roblox, Fortnite and more

Amazon Web Services problems have downed or disrupted several major mobile games, including Roblox, Pokémon Go, Fortnite and all of Supercell’s titles.

X posts from Supercell describe “major downtime across all games”, while Fortnite’s status account says the AWS issue “is also impacting Fortnite log-ins.”

“We’re investigating this now, and will update you when we have more details,” it said.

An unofficial Roblox Status X account is also following the issue with the UGC platform. At the time of writing, Roblox has been down for one hour, and there have been over 11,000 reports on server issues tracking website Down Detector.

Down Detector also notes that there are issues with Pokémon Go, Wordle and the Epic Games Store.

Amazon’s own Service Health page confirms there is an operational issue with multiple services at its North Virginia, USA site. Amazon’s DynamoDB service is listed as disrupted, with 37 other AWS products also affected by the problems.

Update: as of around 3pm UK time these services appear to be getting back to normal, though some delays and disruptions remain.
