British comic and cohost of the wildly popular Off Menu podcast James Acaster stars as the narrator in Perchang World, the new physics puzzler from UK studio Perchang.
The game arrives on Apple Arcade on May 7, and is described by Guildford-based Perchang as a bit like Portal meets Lemmings.
Acaster brings his trademark style as narrator in what is his first video game role. As well as hosting Off Menu and touring as a comic, Acaster has starred in Taskmaster, Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire and countless other panel and TV chat shows.
Perchang is a seven-person indie game studio that operates remotely but is based in Guildford. It was founded in 2016 by Pete Akehurst and Ben Murch, both veterans of the triple-A games industry.
The studio’s self-titled debut has surpassed 6m worldwide, and it later collaborated with Games Workshop to develop and launch Warhammer Quest 2: The End Times.
