Disney Games: The House of Mouse has shaken up its games leadership team with two recruits and two promotions.
The company has hired Blizzard chief development officer Ray Gresko as SVP of product and development to work with Epic Games on the universe it is creating with Disney. Ubisoft Massive veteran Bjorn Tornqvist is now VP of games technology.
Sean Shoptaw has been promoted from games lead to executive vice president of the company’s games business, and Jay Ong has been promoted to lead Disney’s games licensing business for all its franchises, having previously focused purely on Marvel.

Sunday: The German publisher has hired Timm Geyer as its co-managing director, working alongside cofounder Christoph Sachsenhausen. Geyer has spent 14 years in the games industry, working at the likes of BigPoint, Splitscreen, CoolGames and Spil Games. He joins from GeyerMediaConsult, a consultancy he founded in 2022.
Hutch Games: The London-based developer and publisher has made two new hires in Fernanda Gonzalez Mirarchi and Vianney Comot. Gonzalez Mirarchi has joined as a games analyst having previously worked as a consultant at Naavik and a partner manager at Unity. Comot comes on board as a senior producer from Tripledot Studios, where he was delivery director.
HypeHype: The Badland maker has hired Kevin Wolstenholme as a game experience specialist. Until recently Wolstenholme worked at Homa as studio community director having sold his business, RisingHighAcademy, to the company in 2022.
Nordcurrent: The Cooking Fever publisher has hired Jérémy Leone as an ad monetization specialist. Leone joins following a three-month stint at Tripledot Studios as marketing manager for monetisation. He’s also previously completed internships and apprenticeships at Homa and Voodoo.

Ukie: The UK’s video games trade body’s new CEO, Nick Poole, has officially started. Poole fills the shoes of Dr Jo Twist, who announced her departure in February 2023, and was previously the CEO of the Chartered Institute of Library and Information Professionals. He has also served on the government’s Media Literacy Taskforce as well as the chair of Wikimedia UK.
Sandsoft: The Saudi Arabian firm has made two hires from its Press Start internship program. Norah AlQuaydhib has come on board as a junior game programmer, and Reham Yeshar has been hired as a junior game artist, having previously spent one year working at Fahy Studios.
Adjust: The analytics platform has hired Justin Pak to its gaming, entertainment and sports team. During his nine years in the mobile games space he has worked at Snapchat and MobileAction, as well as two stints at Data.ai.
Laton Ventures: The venture capital outfit has brought on Eric Kress as an advisor, with the aim of finding early stage investments in the games industry. Kress has worked at EA and Kabam in addition to being advising the likes of Sega of America, Google and FunPlus.

Xsolla: The payments and ecommerce specialist has appointed Serena Lipscomb as its new public relations manger for its European business. She joins having spent four years at Spark Communications.
Triple Tap Games: Two Indian games industry veterans have founded their own studio. Karan Khairajani and Surojit Roy, who previously founded Firescore Interactive together in 2018, have set up Triple Tap Games. Their previous venture was acquired by CrazyLabs in 2021; they worked at that company until December 2023.
Midia Research: Games industry analyst Rhys Elliott has joined London-based Midia Research. He previously spent close-to six years at rival firm Newzoo, initially in B2B writing, then in marketing, before joining the company’s analyst team in 2021.
Playstack: UK industry veteran Sean Brennan has been appointed as an independent non-executive director by the publisher. Between 2007 and 2022, Brennan was the managing director of Bethesda’s ZeniMax Europe branch, before a stint as CEO at French publisher Focus Entertainment.
Vgames: The venture capital and private equity outfit has hired Stanislav Yushenko as its new venture intern. Yushenko has previously worked in the legal industry helping companies with mergers and acquisitions, including a three-year stint at Playrix, and has also worked in consulting and elsewhere in venture capital.

Nefta: The data adtech platform has hired Alex Vasilyev PhD as its new head of machine learning. Before joining Nefta, Vasilyev was a machine learning engineer at Liftoff Mobile.
Tilting Point: The free-to-play publisher has promoted Gael Leprevost from R&D product director to vice president of R&D and creative direction. He joined the company in 2020 having spent over 11 years at Gameloft. Tilting Point has also hired Stuart Devereux as senior game growth manager. He previously spent over nine years at InnoGames, most recently as senior performance marketing manager, as well as overseeing ad monetisation.
Odeeo: The in-game audio ad company has promoted Guy Bar to head of growth. He joined the firm in January 2023 as growth manager having previously worked for a year at Natural Intelligence as a business development manager.
Scopely: The Monopoly Go giant has promoted Salva Gimenez to senior creative director. He joined the company five years ago as a senior motion graphic designer and previously worked as creative director of the company’s animation department.

Google: The search giant has promoted Paula Wang to managing director for APAC Play Partnerships. Wang previously served as MD for app developer sales in the APAC region, and joined the company in 2016 having previously worked at Microsoft, Sony and Cisco Systems.
Pixel Federation: Ten-year Pixel Federation veteran Daniel Duranka has been promoted from COO and CEO, with Michal Prokop Grno stepping up to chief marketing officer. Grno is also a ten-year Pixel Federation veteran.
Raptor PR: The B2B tech and games agency has promoted Priyanka Harsora to junior account director, having joined the company in 2022 as an account manager.
