Jobs weekly: moves at PlayStation, Bandai Namco, Sybo, Scopely and more

 

Every week, mobilegamer.biz brings you the latest on who’s moving where. So let’s get into it:

PlayStation Mobile has hired Justin Kubiak to work in mobile licensing. Kubiak joins from Samsung, where he was head of games partnerships, and has previously worked in senior roles at NCsoft, Scopely, Disney Interactive, EA and Playfish.

Bandai Namco Mobile’s growing Barcelona office has a new game lead, Miguel Calvo. He moves over from a seven year stint at NetEase in Hangzhou, where he worked on Pokémon Quest. He has also previously worked at Perfect World, Zynga and Funcom.

Product Madness product manager Tom Conlon is now senior product manager at Subway Surfers maker Sybo, and moves from London to Copenhagen.

Steve Sadin is now product SVP for all things web3 at Scopely, moving from FTX, where he was head of gaming partnerships. Sadin has also previously held senior roles at WB Games Boston and Sega. Also at Scopely, Gavi Chavez is new global director of influencers and events, focusing on Stumble Guys. Chavez moves over from a role as creative strategist and gaming lead at TikTok.

PlayStation Mobile’s Justin Kubiak, Bandai Namco Mobile’s Miguel Calvo, Sybo’s Tom Conlon, Scopely’s Steve Sadin and Gavi Chavez.

Scopely also has a new global senior talent partner, Tzigueri Y, who joined from trading platform Exante and new producer Bianca Antunes, a Ten Square and Wildlife veteran. AJ Jones also joined as technical artist alongside Omar B, a new analytics engineer from Driven By Data.

Big Fish Games appointed Andrew Friedman as its new franchise games general manager. Friedman moves over from his role as VP of games at AR/VR/XR firm Osmo, and was head of gaming operations at DraftKings previous to that.

Niantic’s new lead product manager is Tony Suen, a 12 year veteran of Respawn. Suen also previously worked at Tencent and Daybreak.

New roles and recruits at King this week include Katarina Dahlström, who has has joined as product manager, moving over from retailer H&M. There’s also Borja Berastegui Anzorandia, who is the new director of the platform security team, and new 3D environment artist Sonia Martin de la Sierra Gelbert.

Kate Watson is now HR business partner at Zynga, switching over from a role as associate HR business partner at Zynga-owned studio NaturalMotion.

Tripledot has hired new data analyst Semih Tamerer, who joins from Rollic where he was senior data analyst.

At Marvel Snap maker Second Dinner, Aaron Brunstetter is now VP of engineering, stepping up from his prior role as senior director of engineering. Before joining Second Dinner in April 2020 Brunstetter was senior tech director at Jam City and has previously served in senior roles at King, Carbine and PlayStation.

Netanel Amsalem has moved up at TikTok to become its new partnerships manager out of the Tel Aviv, Israel office, having previously served as client solutions manager for gaming.

At Unity, two notable promotions: Stephen Bowes is now senior client partner and head of the EMEA market, and Daria Agafonova is the new head of growth operations and head of the EMEA market for Unity ads.
