Kabam’s new game is a squad-based RPG called King Arthur: Legends Rise.
It is coming to PC and mobile, and is built in Unreal Engine 5. It was announced as part of the State of Unreal keynote at GDC today, and while no release date was confirmed, Kabam did say it’d have more news on that front later this year.
“As we look to the future, enabling our players to experience cross-platform progression and play is an essential part of what we want to offer our players,” said Kabam CEO SeungWon Lee.
“King Arthur: Legends Rise represents the first game for this new direction.”
Epic Games founder and CEO Tim Sweeney added: “We are thrilled that Kabam has chosen Unreal Engine 5 to build their great looking squad-based RPG for mobile and PC.”
The PC and crossplay part of this announcement is notable – Kabam has built its business on mobile to date, most notably through Marvel Contest of Champions and more recently Shop Titans and Disney Mirrorverse.
We’re speaking to Kabam execs at GDC later today to get more intel on the firm’s new cross-platform strategy, so stay tuned for more.
