Netflix games reveals July line-up, including Before Your Eyes and Sam Barlow’s Immortality

Netflix has just confirmed four new games dropping next month on the streaming service as it continues to bulk out its games catalogue.

The details from Netflix are pretty sparse, so we’ve provided a bit of extra context on each title below. We’ll update this story if we get more detail.

Jam City’s match-3 game Wild Things: Animal Adventures has been released before, but is being reworked and added to the Netflix games catalogue without IAPs or ads.

GoodbyeWorld Games’ Before Your Eyes was originally released on Steam in April 2021, and is a story-led title where you interact with the game using real-life blinks, presumably through the front-facing camera on your device. Influencers like PewDiePie and Pokimane have made videos about the game in the past.

There’s very little info out there on Mahjong Solitaire, but Netflix says: “Enjoy hundreds of tile-matching puzzles. Equip themes and backgrounds, including “Stranger Things” ones, to change the game’s look and feel.”

And finally there’s interactive thriller Immortality, the new game from Her Story and Telling Lies creator Sam Barlow. The game is down for release on July 26 on Steam, so it’s a safe bet it’ll arrive around the same time on Netflix.

Netflix has not confirmed specific release dates for any of the above titles, they’re all just down as “July”.

The streaming giant has been busy in the games world in the past year; it acquired Next Games, hired a ton of top-tier talent and also recently revealed a bunch of new games from the likes of Devolver and Ustwo, as well as titles based on Netflix shows like The Queen’s Gambit.

As part of its Netflix Geeked Week showcase, the company said that it’ll have 50 games on the service by the end of the year.
