Fortnite (Epic Games)

A US court injunction means that Google has allowed Epic’s monster battle royale to return to Google Play in the US only. Epic said on X that players should “Stay tuned for news of Fortnite’s return to Google Play to the rest of the world.”

Arknights: Endfield (Gryphline)

As revealed at The Game Awards overnight, this ambitious RPG will launch globally on January 22, 2026 on iOS, Android, PC and PS5. US pop group OneRepublic will also be providing music for the game.

Aniimo (FunPlus)

This Pokémon-like RPG featured in The Game Awards last night to announce a closed beta, set for “early 2026”. The game will be released globally on iOS, Android, Xbox and PC at some point in 2026.

Bluey’s Quest for the Gold Pen (Halfbrick)

Written by Bluey creator Joe Brumm, this promises “heartfelt storytelling with discovery-driven gameplay”. Priced at $14.99, it’s out now on iOS, coming to Android on January 10, 2026 and arriving on console and PC later next year.

Apple Arcade’s December games

December’s Apple Arcade games are now available. The latest additions to the subscription service are SpongeBob Patty Pursuit 2, PowerWash Simulator, Cult of the Lamb Arcade Edition, Subway Surfers+, and Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm+.

CloverPit (Future Friends Games)

Following a successful PC and console launch, this roguelike slot machine game will hit iOS and Android on December 17, priced at $4.99.

Best Guess Live (Netflix)

Airing on weekdays in the US only, this mobile game show challenges Netflix subscribers to solve puzzles as quickly as possible to earn a share of a $15,000 jackpot every episode.

Planet of Lana (Playdigious)

This 2D side scrolling puzzle platformer, which was well received on PC and console, is out now on iOS and Android, priced at $8.99.

Duolingo x Genshin Impact

Genshin Impact has teamed up with Duolingo to launch a three-day streak quest in the educational app. Available in select regions until December 28, participants can earn an exclusive, Duolingo-themed reward bundle for Genshin Impact.

Limit Zero Breakers (NCSoft)

A closed beta test for this anime-inspired action RPG will be held on Google Play and PC in Q1 2026. The full game is scheduled to hit mobile devices and PC in the first half of next year.

Pirates Outlaws 2: Heritage (Fabled Game)

This pirate-themed roguelike deckbuilder has launched in Steam Early Access, where it will normally cost $14.99, but there’s a two-week launch discount of 20%. An iOS, Android and Epic Games Store release is planned for later in December, or in early 2026.
