October’s Apple Arcade games

Apple has confirmed its October line-up, led by NBA 2K26 Arcade Edition, which arrives on October 16. Live now are Thomas & Friends: Let’s Roll+ from StoryToys, Dominoes: Classic Tile Game+ (MobilityWare) and Piffle+ (Mighty Games and Hipster Whale).
Angry Birds 2 (Rovio/Kingsoft Shiyou)

Rovio has struck a deal with Kingsoft Shiyou to launch Angry Birds in China, where it will be a ‘pre-configured app’ on the new Xiaomi 17 Pro and Xiaomi 17 Pro Max phones.
Faily Brakes Roadtrip (Spunge Games)
Australian studio Spunge Games has released its first new game for a while, another fun, physicsy downhill romp.
Twilight Towers (Fortis Games)
Blending tower defence and merge mechanics, this dragon-themed soft launches this week in the Philippines and Mexico.
Spooky Express (Draknek)
The latest puzzler from Draknek is coming to iOS, Android and PC on October 21, and is open for pre-order now.

This week’s free Epic Games Store title on mobile is JoyBits’ puzzle game Doodle Devil. It’s available to claim until October 9 on Android worldwide and iOS in the European Union. So too is a free DLC pack for Holyday Studios’ Firestone: Online Idle RPG.
Mercenary Syndicate: Survival (Ares Interactive)
This tactical roguelike survival shooter takes place in a war-torn sci-fi galaxy. It’s now available worldwide on iOS and Android.
Ricochet Squad (Nice Plans Studio)
Featuring destructible maps, physics-based combat and squad tactics, this 3v3 multiplayer hero shooter is out now on Google Play and the App Store.
Inmost (Chucklefish)
This narrative-driven puzzle platformer originally released for Apple Arcade in 2019, before coming to Switch and PC the following year. The mobile port will hit the App Store and Google Play on October 28. It will be free-to-start, with the full game available for $3.99.
The Run (PRM Games)
This horror-themed “interactive film” features over three hours of filmed content and branching storylines. Pricing hasn’t been confirmed, but it’s set to release for mobile on October 28, and on Steam later this year.
Besiege (Playdigious)
Following over 4m sales on PC and console, this physics-based, siege engine building game is coming to mobile on November 18. Its first campaign levels will be available for free, with an IAP required to unlock the full title.
RidePods – Race with Head (Ali Tanis)

This is the first game for Apple devices that’s played using AirPods as a wearable motion controller, The Verge reports. The motorcycle racing title, which requires wireless headphones that support spatial audio, sees players controlling a bike by tilting their head from side-to-side.
