November’s top mobile game downloads

Here are the top mobile game downloads from last month, according to Appmagic data.

Appmagic’s estimates do not include numbers from China’s fractured Android market. There’s commentary on November’s most notable trends from the top 20 and beyond below.

In between these monthly updates, you can also keep tabs on Appmagic’s top grossing and top downloads charts here.

Pokémon TCG Pocket has swept to the top of November’s downloads chart based mostly on the brand and virality, with about a quarter of November’s 30.3m downloads from the US.  Brazil is next with about 10% of the 30m downloads in November, followed by France, Japan and Mexico. But as you can see in the top grossing list, spending patterns look very different.

Block Blast‘s monthly download haul has been rising steadily throughout 2024, but it has really stepped up recently. Having leapt up from 15m installs in September to ~25m in October, it posted a best-ever 27.5m downloads last month.

Last month’s top download, the TikTok-inspired viral hit Mini Games: Calm and Relax, scored a whopping 36m+ installs in October, but drops to register just over 20m last month. As we discussed last month, it’s down to that TikTok trend where people play a chicken platformer by clucking at their phones.

You’d think that these TikTok trends have a bit of a time limit, but the other ‘chicken game’ hit, Tik Tap Challenge, is up month on month – perhaps some canny ASO may have played a part here, plus the fact it is also on iOS, while Mini Games is Android-only.

A new contender is at five this month – 97% of WinZo: Ludo, Carrom, Solitaire downloads are in India, and it continues the trend for game compilations that former top download Offline Games did so well out of thoughout the summer.

Top 10 regulars Roblox and Subway Surfers continue to steadily do their thing at six and seven respectively, while ABI’s Perfect Tidy‘s rise into the top ten continues the recent success of cosy tidying games, following on from the rather more awkwardly-titled Satisroom, which was doing well back in September.

My Supermarket Simulator 3D is fading after rocketing into the top contenders in September and October, and another steady title, Free Fire Max, rounds out the top ten with a third consecutive month pulling in around 11.5m installs.

November’s top mobile game downloads: 11-20

11. 8 Ball Pool (Miniclip): 10.8m
12. Pizza Ready (Supercent): 10.7m
13. Bus Out (iKame/Zego): 10.3m
14. Ludo King (Gametion): 10.3m
15. Offline Games (JindoBlu): 9.8m
16. Free Fire (Garena): 9.4m
17. Hole.io (Voodoo): 9m
18. My Talking Tom 2 (Outfit7): 8.8m
19. Spider Fighter 3 (Starplay): 8.4m
20. Car Race (iKame/Zego): 8.2m

Miniclip’s 8 Ball Pool leaps up nine spaces this month, posting nearly 11m downloads, a decent bump up from the ~7m installs it has been racking up monthly since the middle of 2024.

Pizza Ready is starting to wane after a strong run that saw it consistently in the top ten monthly downloads for most of 2024, and it’s a similar story with Ludo King, which suddenly dropped down to 10m-ish downloads in November after regularly generating 15m+ monthly installs for most of the year.

Hyper/hybridcasual studio Zego has rebranded, apparently, and continues to see new title Bus Out rise through the ranks while its biggest title to date Car Race also sees a notable month-on-month rise.

Hole.io‘s recent comeback appears to have peaked in October when it generated 11.5m installs, but November’s 9m downloads is still impressive considering it is now over six years old.

It’s quite odd to see Candy Crush Saga outside the top 20 – in November King’s flagship title posted its lowest monthly download total since Appmagic started tracking this stuff in January 2015 with a little under 7.7m. It had previously been quite steady at around the 9m mark.
