Beyond: New AI start-up, Beyond, is helmed by former Huuuge Games leaders Anton Gauffin and Ben Dickenson. Makers Fund, Atinum Investment and Play Ventures have funded the outfit to the tune of $20m “to make real-life experiences more playable and engaging with beyondOS”, Beyond’s in-house tech.

Stillfront: The Swedish roll-up firm has appointed Alexis Bonte as its new president and CEO, a position he had held on an interim basis since last October’s ousting of Jörgen Larsson. Having been with the company since 2017, Bonte previously held several leadership positions including COO.

Beyond’s Gauffin, Stillfront’s Bonte, MTG’s Hopkins, Supercell’s Seppänen and Rowlands.

MTG: The owner of Hutch, Innogames, Playsimple, Ninja Kiwi and more has appointed Nick Hopkins as its chief financial officer. He will join the Swedish roll-up group in May. Hopkins currently serves as managing director at Bank of America in London, and previously spent 13 years at Goldman Sachs.

Supercell: As reported by Pocketgamer.biz, Lasse Seppänen has been appointed general manager of Supercell London. Seppänen is a former game lead on Hay Day, Boom Beach and Everdale, and has also served as head of game production services and game resourcing at Supercell.

Johnathan Rowlands has also been appointed as general manager of Squad Busters. Rowlands has worked at Space Ape for a decade, and most recently served as studio head.

Jagex: The RuneScape maker has appointed Jon Bellamy as its new CEO. Having previously held executive roles at Jagex and Huuuge Games, he has served on the company’s board since 2024.

Trailmix: The London-based mobile games studio has appointed Conor Galvin as a game developer on Love & Pies. He joins from Space Ape Games, where he served as client game developer, and also previously worked as associate senior game developer at Supersolid.

Jagex’s Bellamy, Trailmix’s Galvin, Futureplay’s Halila, Sony’s Lynn Azar, Appcharge’s Megaw.

Futureplay: The Merge Gardens maker has hired Ilkka Halila as senior game programmer. He previously served as co-founder, CEO and CTO at Korppi Games, had a four year spell at Seriously Digital Entertainment, and worked as technical director at Wargaming.

Sony: Effective April 1, Lynn Azar will be Sony Interactive Entertainment’s new SVP, finance, corporate development and strategy. She joined SIE in 2020 and currently serves as SVP, head of finance and operations for PlayStation Studios. Azar will succeed Lin Tao, who has been appointed CFO of Sony Group.

Appcharge: The DTC platform has hired Sean Megaw as director of business, North America. He was previously CEO and game director at Rogue Harbour Game Studio and Kemojo Studios, and president and game director at Fathom Interactive. Other previous roles include studio design director at Ubisoft and producer at BioWare.

Appcharge has also appointed Jin Woo Hong as managing director, Korea. He was most recently regional development director, East Asia for Coda Payments, and also previously served as senior business development manager at Nexon Korea.

Appcharge’s Hong, Moloco’s Shobeiri, Azur’s Diana K, Mistplay’s Thandi, Exient’s Zammit.

Moloco: The machine learning company has appointed Shobeir Shobeiri as its director of publisher sales. He was previously senior director of business development at Mintegral.

Azur Games: The game developer and publisher has hired Diana K. as business development lead, special projects. She previously worked as business development manager at Magify, FreePlay and WannaPlay.

Mistplay: The mobile game loyalty app has promoted Aaron Thandi to the role of chief commercial officer. He joined the company in 2022 as global head of sales, and most recently served as VP, global head of commercial.

Exient: The Lemmings and Ultimate Sackboy maker has promoted Jessica Fleur Zammit from a senior to a lead game designer.
