Jobs weekly: ex-Jelly Button team forms new studio plus moves at Playtika, FunPlus, AppsFlyer, MobileAction and more

Icy Ghost: Four former Jelly Button leaders have set up Icy Ghost, a new Tel Aviv-based studio. Former Jelly Button general manager Meir Shitrit is cofounder and CEO, and was formerly Playtika’s SVP for new games and VP of R&D at Ironsource.

He’s joined by fellow ex-Jelly Button leadership and cofounders Simon Grinberg (chief technical officer), Heni Shaul Koblinsky (chief revenue officer) and Moti Novo (chief creative officer).

Playtika: Two top hires at Playtika this week: Gili Brudno joins as chief human resources officer and Darlan Monterisi as new EVP and global head of comms.

Icy Ghost founders Meir Shitrit, Simon Grinberg, Heni Shaul Koblinsky and Moti Novo; Playtika’s Gili Brudno and Darlan Monterisi.

Brudno is a HR veteran from the pharmaceutical and tech world, and Monterisi joins from AI firm Dataminr, and has previously worked in comms for the US marine corps, CA Technologies and Rockstar Games.

FunPlus: The State of Survival maker’s new studio in Barcelona has welcomed lead game designer Ariel Taieb to the team. He has spent several years as a game design consultant for firms including Peanut Games and Drest, and has also previously contributed to games including Assassin’s Creed 2 and AC: Brotherhood.

Tilting Point: Naz Colakoglu has been promoted to VP of bizdev and partnerships. She’s been at Tilting Point for almost four years, and has previously worked in bizdev manager at MobileAction, Wildcard, Appmediation and Mobikasa.

AppsFlyer: Former head of EU and gaming at Snap Callum Carmichael is now director of partnerships at AppsFlyer, responsible for western Europe, MENA and Turkey. He spent four years at Snap and prior to that worked at IronSource and Supersonic.

FunPlus’ Ariel Taieb, Tilting Point’s Naz Colakoglu, AppsFlyer’s Callum Carmichael, MobileAction’s Christian Krejcik and Michal Leszczynski, who has left Blizzard.

MobileAction: Data.ai’s former director of new business sales for the Americas Christian Krejcik is now director of new business sales at MobileAction. Krejcik has also previously worked at Sensor Tower.

Blizzard: Diablo Immortal’s lead product manager Michal Leszczynski has moved on from the company. He spent almost four years at Blizzard in product management roles, and was previously corporate strategy associate at parent Activision Blizzard.

Carry1st: Eight new faces have joined the publishing giant, including former Ubisoft FGOL product manager Roxana Muntean as game lead, former Playsimple product manager Saloni Singhal, new VP of data Suresh Pillai, senior product manager Mihail Iliev, artists Bantubonke Mlotshwa and Kelly Okhaoaye, QA engineer Olamitan Akinmoladun and social media associate Oluwatobi Omotoso.

King: New brand marketing partnership manager Carla Bennahmias has joined the New York-based King team from her role as director of brand partnerships at Epic Records. Hannah Sheffield has also joined the Candy Crush maker as junior creative analyst, having previously worked in marketing for Boohoo and Asos.

Carry1st’s Roxana Muntean and Saloni Singhal, King’s Carla Bennahmias, Superscale’s Michal Bujko, Gram Games’ Rob Sandberg and Lumen’s Malu Marquez.

Superscale: Pollen VC’s former business development manager Michal Bujko is the new global partnerships director at Superscale. Bujko has also previously worked in bizdev at Sheepyard, BoomBit, Orbital Knight and others.

Gram Games: Four new starters spread across the firm’s Istanbul and London office this week. Former Product Madness production director Rob Sandberg joins as senior executive producer, Sahand Hosseini joins as UI/UX artist, Cameron Yates is QA intern and Kat Boksan is workplace services coordinator.

Lumen Games: The Brazilian developer has hired Malu Marquez as game producer. Marquez joins from Wildlife Studios’ Sao Paolo office where she was creative director.
