Jobs weekly: new faces at Netflix, TikTok, Metacore, Scopely, Kwalee and more

Netflix has hired its new live service director for external games, Grazyna Domanska. Domanska joins from Sledgehammer Games, where she worked on live ops for Call of Duty: Vanguard, and has previously worked at Activision as senior monetisation manager on games like COD: Modern Warfare and Warzone.

TikTok for business has appointed Maayan Kotler as its new head of APAC gaming. Kotler moves over from her role as head of client solutions at TikTok, and has previously held senior roles at Tailor Brands, Gett and 888holdings.

Metacore has been staffing up dramatically. The Merge Mansion maker has hired former Seriously game developer Suvi Karjalainen as game programmer, Tero Kairento as backend programmer, Alexander Termer as game programmer, Cem Karakaş as game artist, former Rovio staffer Dusan Vukic as data analyst, ex-Rovio and Remedy tools and tech programmer Mikko Kolehmainen, former Wildlife programmer Klaus Madeira de Souza, Thien Nguyen Truong as data analyst and Tommi Virolainen as game programmer. Janne Laine has also joined the studio as game programmer from Seriously. 

There’s more: Metacore also added Aki Heikkinen as chief accountant, Anni Seiteri as purchasing and contract manager, Antti K. as test automation engineer, Johannes Palvanen as fullstack developer, Saila Ylisirniö as people partner and Steve Kemp as devops engineer. Phew.

Scopely has appointed Sirach Mendes as Stumble Guys’ global influencer manager, following its acquisition of the property last week. Mendes joined Scopely in June, having previously managed Supercell creators for agency Teleperformance. Also at Scopely, motion designer Jordi Juan Llamas has joined the team after freelancing and working for Fail Fast Studio in Barcelona.

Harry Lang is now marketing VP at Kwalee, joining the developer having held senior roles at Brand Architects, Stint and Buzz Bingo. 

Alice Bowman has joined Netspeak Games as senior game designer, joining from Trailmix, where she was narrative designer. Bowman has previously also worked at Team Artichoke, Outplay and King. 

Robert Roxion has joined blockchain game-maker First Light Games to lead its data analysis effort. He moves over from Socialpoint, where he spend almost seven years working in the firm’s data teams. He’s also previously worked at Goodgame.

Kwalee’s Harry Lang, Netspeak’s Alice Bowman, First Light’s Robert Roxion, Pixion’s Alexander Häußler and King’s Daniel Quirke.

Former Wooga and Seriously engineer and programmer Alexander Häußler is now senior engineer at blockchain game developer Pixion.

Gram has hired three new interns at its Istanbul office. Ertuğrul Uyar joins the product management team, Erdem Ünlü will be helping out the game development teams and İzel Yazıcı joins as data science intern.

And finally there are a couple of new faces at King: Daniel Quirke has joined from Jagex as C++ developer and Kei Mak has joined as UI artist intern.
