Reigns and Narcos lead Netflix’s November games slate

Netflix has announced that six new games will be added to its growing games portfolio in November.

Leading the way is Reigns: Three Kingdoms, the fifth ‘Tinder for monarchs’ game in Nerial’s award-winning series. This time it delves into Chinese history.

Elsewhere there’s Tilting Point’s Narcos: Cartel Wars Unlimited, an IAP and ad-free edition of the empire building game that’s already out on Android and iOS.

Hidea’s Cats & Soup is another existing title reworked for Netflix, a cutesy idle cat game. Netflix provides little info on the next three games, beyond these blurbs:

Country Friends: “Build the farm of your dreams — by yourself or with friends! Ditch city life to grow crops, feed animals and trade goods in this sunny adventure.”

Flutter Butterflies: “Discover and raise butterflies in a peaceful habitat. Decorate your forest to attract, nurture and collect hundreds of real-life species.”

Skies of Chaos: “Jump into the cockpit and face off against an evil empire in this colorful, arcade-style shoot ’em up. You’re the resistance’s last hope!”

Netflix is busily building out its games presence. Last week games boss Mike Verdu announced that Netflix is looking into cloud gaming, and has also hired former Overwatch lead Chacko Sonny to lead a new Netflix studio in the US. It also recently set up a new studio in Helsinki led by ex-Zynga exec Marko Lastikka.
