New games now: Candy Crush Solitaire, Warzone Mobile, Barbie, Pokémon, Naraka Bladepoint, Balatro, Age of Empires and more

Candy Crush Solitaire (King)

This one popped up briefly before, in July of 2023 in Canada and Philippines. This week it resurfaced as a Canada-only iOS beta, and joins Candy Crush 3D and Candy Crush Blast in King’s growing soft launch line-up.

The above footage is from the previous beta, so we’re not sure how much the new version differs from before.

Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile (Activision)

The blockbuster battle royale arrives on mobile on March 21, on both iOS and Android. 

New Barbie Game (Mattel)

Toy giant Mattel is partnering with Zynga-owned developer Rollic to make a new “mass market” Barbie mobile game. It’s set to launch this year, though it’s not clear what genre it will be or if it’s tied into the blockbuster film. We’ve asked for more details.

Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket (Pokémon Company)


The Pokémon Company, Creatures and DeNA have streamlined the complexity of the long-running card game for this brand-new mobile launch. The title is set to launch on both iOS and Android later in 2024. 

Naraka Bladepoint Mobile (NetEase)

First announced back in September 2021, Naraka Bladepoint Mobile appears to be nearing release. A beta test for the title is coming to China on April 1st 2024, though it’s not clear on which platforms.

Balatro (LocalThunk)

Cult poker roguelike Balatro is coming to mobile at some point, according to TouchArcade. Developer LocalThunk is currently testing the game on smartphones but there’s no word on a soft launch or release date yet. 

Age of Empires Mobile (Microsoft)

The mobile version of this strategy game is coming out this year, and pre-registration is available in North America, South America, Europe, MENA and Southeast Asia on both the App Store and Google Play now.

Disney Iwájú: Rising Chef (Disney)

This cooking title created by Nigerian developer Maliyo Games is based on the Iwájú animated show from Disney+. It’s out now on the App Store and Google Play.

Songs of Travel (Causa Creations)

This interactive graphic novel tells the stories of five migrants who seek to start a new life in Europe. It’s coming out in the summer of 2024 for iOS and Android. 

Honkai Impact 3rd Part 2 (Cognosphere)

This massive update to the long-running and hugely popular action RPG is out now for both iOS and Android. 

Cosmocadia (Lucky Kat Studios)

Blockchain-powered cosy farming title Cosmocadia is out now globally, though developer Lucky Kat says it is still in beta. It’s available on both Android and iOS.

Soccer Hero: Football Game (Miniclip)

Miniclip’s new multiplayer football card game is out now in beta, available on Google Play in Portugal only.

Slash Quest (Noodlecake)

Having been removed from Apple Arcade in September 2023, this action-adventure is set to return to the App Store at some point this summer, says Noodlecake. It’ll also make its debut on Android this year, too.  

Ready Set Golf! (PikPok Games)

Having been downloaded 25m times on Snap Games, this frantic mini-golf title is now available on both Google Play and the App Store worldwide.
