Jobs weekly: moves at Magic Eden, Scopely, King, Homa, Pixel United and more

 

Every week, mobilegamer.biz brings you the latest on who’s moving where. So let’s get into it:

Glu Mobile veteran Chris Akhavan has been appointed chief gaming officer at NFT marketplace Magic Eden, where he’ll be heading up gaming partnerships and developing the platform’s game creator and collector experiences.

Akhavan started out in mobile at Tapjoy before a long stint at Glu Mobile from 2013 up to the firm’s acquisition by EA and beyond. He was also more recently chief business officer and advisor at blockchain firm Forte.

Tiffany Keller is the new director of product at Scopely on Marvel Strike Force. Keller was previously director of product at Sybo / Miniclip, and has also served as product lead at King and product manager at Zynga.

Three notable moves at King this week: Benjamin Pommeraud is now general manager of strategic initiatives, moving from general manager of the firm’s ‘portfolio’ games. Pommeraud is a former founder at Storms and has previously worked at Singtel, Riot and Ubisoft. Todd Green has also now stepped into the newly created role of general manager of the Candy Crush franchise. Green was previously general manager of Candy Crush Saga. And finally at King, tech director José Juan Serna Maeso has moved over to work on Farm Heroes Saga after a stint on the Bubble Witch 3 Saga team.

Homa has appointed Jorge Mendes as ideation expert. He joins from a product strategy role at Voodoo.

Ex-Rovio and Netmarble marketeer Minjae Kim has been promoted to senior product marketing manager at Pixel United.

Tamara Feiman has started a new position as general manager, new games at AppLovin-owned Lion Studios, moving up from her role as Lion’s studio management director.

Guy Kashtan has started a new position as head of games at Odeeo, having moved over from his position as games team lead at Sayollo.

Lightneer has appointed a new head of growth. Avinash S joins from PlaySimple Games, where he was senior growth marketing manager.

Tactile Games has appointed three new faces: Marta Czwarnóg as QA tester, Anna Plotkina as user acquisition manager and Natalia Szlaga as game tester.

And last but not least Raptor PR’s Joshua Callaghan has moved into an account executive role, having previously served as PR assistant and later junior account executive. He’s a former freelancer for Lost in Cult.
