Netflix has confirmed its September slate of games, with Snowman’s new release Lucky Luna available now and Half Mermaid’s critically-acclaimed Immortality “coming soon”.
There were no firm dates for the other two titles set for September either. Jam City’s match-3 puzzler Wild Things: Animal Adventures was originally announced as coming in July, alongside Immortality, but will now drop this month, all being well.
Rival Pirates should also arrive in September, having slipped from its original release window in August. It’s a pirate-themed battle royale game that can host up to 16 players at once, and is developed by Amuzo and Rogue Games.
There was no word on Twelve Minutes in this month’s line-up announcement, which was accidentally announced for the service last month before Netflix got in touch to correct the error.
Lucky Luna has already been picking up some buzz on consumer-facing sites after it was surprise-released during GameSpot’s Swipe showcase yesterday. Netflix’s games offering is picking up steam now, after positive press around the Poinpy and Into the Breach launches. The hype around Immortality will also help raise awareness of the streaming giant’s games offering.
Fellow tech colossus Apple also recently revealed its September slate for Arcade, which includes a Tom Hanks-backed trivia game plus new Shovel Knight and Horizon Chase games.
