Fortnite and Rocket League Sideswipe (Epic Games)

Epic Games Store has launched in Japan on iPhone only, meaning the store’s star attractions, Fortnite and Rocket League Sideswipe, are also now available to download natively for Japanese players.

Naturally, Epic took a swipe at Apple as part of the announcement: “When we launched the Epic Games Store in Europe, Apple required a 15-step installation process,” the company said. “After pressure from regulators, Apple reduced that to six screens which led to a 60% decrease in player drop-off during attempts to install the Epic Game Store.”

“However, in Japan, Apple is imposing three additional screens on developers and consumers, creating more hurdles for competition and choice. We are continuing to work with regulators in Japan to end these anticompetitive practices so developers and consumers can benefit from the law.”

The Walking Dead: Aftermath (Ares Interactive)

Blending roguelite action with survival strategy and base-building, this is set in the universe of AMC’s TV series The Walking Dead. It will launch on the App Store and Google Play this summer, with additional platforms to be announced later.

Guild Wars Reforged (ArenaNet)

This updated version of the classic online RPG is coming to mobile this summer, at no additional cost to existing PC owners. The original Guild Wars: Prophecies campaign will be free to play, with additional content purchasable separately. It will enter soft launch in Australia, New Zealand, Canada and the Philippines before its wider release.

Monster Hunter Outlanders (Capcom/Tencent)

The second beta test for this open-world action RPG is now live in the US, mainland China, Japan, Malaysia, Singapore, the Philippines, Canada, Mexico, Germany, Spain and the UK.

Cats & Soup: Magic Recipe (Neowiz)

This idle merge follow-up to Cats & Soup, which has racked up over 80m downloads, has officially launched globally.

The Division Resurgence (Ubisoft)

One month after its mobile release, this third-person shooter RPG has made the jump to PC, with cross-platform support.

Netflix is a Joke Presents: Gifted (Netflix)

Using their phone or tablet as a controller, players caption GIFs to make the best jokes in this party game. It’s available now for Netflix subscribers.

Bufo Jump (Neutronized)

Players assume the role of a frog in this 3D platformer, which is coming to mobile and Steam on May 21. It’s priced at $3.99.

Genshin Impact (HoYoverse)

The next major region for the hit open-world RPG has been revealed. Snezhnaya will launch on August 12, as part of a wider update promising the culmination of plot lines dating back to the game’s launch, and the introduction of a train system.

Seaside Secrets (Supercent)

As first reported in the latest soft launch update, it looks like hybridcasual specialist Supercent is targeting the story-led merge market with Seaside Secrets, which has just popped up as a placeholder in Appmagic.

Yarn It (Moon Active)

Appmagic says this one’s only available in Israel on Google Play. It looks very similar to Jelly Busters, which is clearly heavily inspired by Pixel Flow. This was first reported in our latest soft launch update.

Quack Quack Attack – Pegg Blaster (Haoplay)

Pre-registration is open for this casual puzzle game, which is scheduled to launch on iOS and Android later this year.
