Jobs weekly: moves at Sybo, Next, Kabam, King, Unity, TikTok and more

 

Every week, mobilegamer.biz brings you the latest on who’s moving where. So let’s get into it:

Sybo has a new CMO: Philip Hickey, who joins after his eight year run as head of brand, comms and marketing at Best Fiends maker Seriously. Previous to that Hickey led marketing strategy and execution at Angry Birds. Sybo has also welcomed Anna Konijnendijk into the fold, who joins as freelance narrative writer.

Petri Ikonen is now game lead at Next Games, making the switch from EA Helsinki, where he spent a decade as creative director. Prior to that he was executive producer at Digital Chocolate.

Manny Redruello is Kabam’s new director of business development, moving over from Snap, where he was games partnerships manager. Redruello previously spent some time at Disney in its mobile division.

Sybo’s Philip Hickey and Anna Konijnendijk, Next Games’ Petri Ikonen, Kabam’s Manny Redruello, King’s Marjana Marri Dragicevic.

As ever, there are several moves at King this week. Anton Johnsson moved up to senior level designer on Farm Heroes Saga, Marjana Marri Dragicevic moved over from the Candy Crush Friends Saga and Jelly Saga team to become game designer on Candy Crush Saga, Alice Stephenson joins as a data scientist and former Keywords QA lead Bathilde de La Chapelle has also joined as game operator.

Vlad Muntean is now senior client partner at Unity, moving over from his role as gaming partnerships lead at Audiomob. Muntean returns to Unity having previously worked there in 2021, and prior to that he served as partner manager at Google.

Two promotions at TikTok this week – former Plarium marketing analyst Gil Gurovich is now client solution lead, and Adam Kalmanson is now head of Israel’s global gaming team.

Allan Adham is now head of game scouting at PlaySide Studios, making the switch from his role at Jagex as business development manager. Adham has also previously served as business development coordinator at Codemasters and senior publishing manager at Kwalee.

King’s Bathilde de La Chapelle, Unity’s Vlad Muntean, TikTok’s Gil Gurovich and Adam Kalmanson, PlaySide’s Allan Adham.

Tactile Games has welcomed three new starters: core QA engineer Théo Maillard, game programmer Doğuşcan Öztürk and data scientist Arnau Escapa.

Gram Games has four new starters this week: Tuğçe Erman Alfar (QA engineer), Melis Yurdakul (production intern), Alper Şişman (UI/UX artist) and Eunyoung Lee (marketing artist).

Former Lionhead, Ndreams and Flaming Fowl Studios veteran Leon-Paul Lynn joined Kwalee-owned Tictales as game story writer and Robert Whitehead is now head of content strategy at Carry1st. Whitehead moves over from Scopely, where he was lead product manager on Scrabble Go.

Tag Games has welcomed Pierre Martin as senior game programmer from Gerwin Software, Lara Burić is now game designer at Hutch and at Scopely, Michal Ben Netanel steps up to monetisation art lead, moving from her role as senior brand designer. And former AdColony and Fyber person Mariethonnie Medina is now Kongregate’s new head of business development for blockchain gaming.

A couple of promotions at Big Fish Games: Andrew Bird is now senior director of software engineering and Duong G. Tran is now senior finance manager.

And in case you missed it last week: Supercell made a bunch of high-profile appointments as it continues to expand its US team.
